That was brutally savage. Janeway gives zero fucks as his world slowly loses cohesion and he succumbs to the black.

Kinda broke my heart how the two stormtroopers that were gonna board the shuttle get cut down. The wanted to make sure everyone on board was ok. 😢

As great an actress as she is, I cannot picture Genevieve Bujold pulling this episode off. Just like the old Vulcan proverb, "Only Nixon could go to China" only Kate Mulgrew could do Kathryn Janeway...

The last 30 seconds are the most theatrical ending in the history of Star Trek, I think.

This scene so much reminds me of Trump and MAGA: fear. Everything is about being afraid. At some point they will be beaten as everything based on fear always is. I come back to this scene to remind myself of this truism. I started when Sarah Palin was constantly around and everyone was saying she could be the next President. I'm writing all of this in complete earnest.

This was one scary assed episode. The ending gave me chills! 😨 Lol

I am not crazy! I know she swapped those holograms! As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never! I just - I just couldn't prove it. She - she covered her tracks, she got that idiot at the operations station to lie for her. You think this is something? You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? She's done worse. That Voyager! Are you telling me that a starship just happens to end up in the Delta Quadrant like that? No! She orchestrated it! Janeway! She navigated through a sunstorm! And I saved her! And I shouldn't have. I took her into my own stasis pod! What was I thinking? She'll never change. She'll never change! Ever since she was 9, always the same! Couldn't keep her hands out of the holosuite! But not our Janeway! Couldn't be precious JANEWAY! Stealing them blind! And she gets to be a Starfleet captain!? What a sick joke! I should've stopped him when I had the chance! And you - you have to stop him!

Janeway goes full-on Judge Dredd & Anderson against Fear!

When ranking Captains on Star Trek I rank Janeway as the best. She could be extremely intense, physically strong, and absolutely cruel. In parallel she could be comical - One of the episodes with Q, and charming. And Kate really did an excellent job with this character. This final part of this episode was chilling and intense, like a horror film. Very well done. I also like the doctor as well. 7 of 9, really never liked that character, sort of like Counselor Troy. Never liked that character. My opinion, every episode with Troi turned boring. The episodes with 7 of 9 and Troi I just turn off.

Now I was expecting Gideon to have a Star Destroyer like all Moff’s and some high ranking Imperials do. A light cruiser doesn’t seem like a Moff’s taste for me

Watching 'fear' disappear like that, somehow makes me feel warm and happy.

When they made that stupid Into Darkness movie from 2013, they submerged the whole Enterprise in the ocean...it should have just been the saucer section due to the danger of anti-matter contamination on a planets environment. They even had an episode on Voyager about it, so landing the StarDrive too is so stupid.

I hated this episode when it aired initially, but over the years I have grown to appreciate it.

One of the best, most bad-ass endings to any Star Trek episode. Almost as good as Sisko's "Computer, delete entry".

4:42 they didn't need that last DRAT it took away from the DRAMA

this episode is so unsettling and feverish that the ending feels satisfying.

My only problem with the episode is it took them that long to come up with the solution.

The performance of Kate is always amazing.

This episode was almost Roald Dahl'esque
